The projects I have been involved with range from small shops and bars to large London Hotels and from large department stores to The London Aquarium.
I have just finished the headquarters of Guardian News & Media in Kings Cross. The joinery package for my client was 1.2 million pounds. I am currently involved with the renovation of The Savoy Hotel London, which will be a similar figure and a private Mayfair residence with a joinery package of over 350 thousand pounds.

Responsibilities
The Draughtsman interprets the Designer or Architect’s drawings into working detailed drawings to allow the design to be manufactured and installed on site.
To create Drawing Status Schedules to plan the production of drawings and track their approval status within the allotted programme time. Also to record events such as lack of information or design alteration during the project in order to report back to the Project Manager as to the status of drawing production.
To carry out site surveys with a view to producing plan layouts, elevations, sections etc. Also to take any critical measurements for particular units or panelling etc.
To produce accurate, sized up site plans, ceiling layouts, floor layouts etc. To produce accurate scaled and full sized details of interior fitments such as bars, wall panelling, reception desks, doors (Including Schedules) and any other units or details required to complete the project.
To attend site meetings and manage all aspects of drawing and design development during the project. Liaise directly with the designer, the project manager and the client and report periodically about the progress.
To be cost aware at all times consulting with the estimators and buyers.
To source the more obscure products or materials.
Manage other draughtsmen if the project warrants it. Check their output for quality and accuracy.
